The founding of AVEDIS as a private consulting firm is the result of the partnership between GOPA, EPOS and IB since 2006. The three partners teamed up in order to provide a shared platform from which to provide consulting services in the field of social development. With GOPA and EPOS, the leading German consulting firms in the field of development cooperation and IB being one of Germany’s biggest providers of social work and educational programmes, the associates create effective synergies. Through its blend of founding companies, AVEDIS can build on decades of high quality consulting know-how and social service management experience.
AVEDIS has a vast pool of experts at its disposal comprising experienced and qualified professionals from many fields and academic backgrounds, with in-depth institutional and regional experience.
An extensive network of international and local partners is a further asset of the company. The founders’ involvement in European networks such as the European Vocational Training Association (EVTA), the Europäischer Verband für Berufsbildungsträger (EVBB) and the European Federation of Youth Service Organisations (EFYSO) enables AVEDIS to pursue social development related issues at European level and influence future initiatives undertaken by decision-makers in their respective fields. 
The mission of AVEDIS is to promote poverty alleviation through quality consulting services in the area of social development. AVEDIS strives for poverty alleviation through social integration of the most vulnerable social layers, such as children, young people at risk, women, migrants, refugees and IDPs, ethnic minorities, civil society groups, people with special needs and the elderly.
As a result of integrated management structures and joint databases, as well as good personal relations between the employees of the Group’s companies, clients have access to the GOPA Consulting Group, regardless of which office, company or employee has been contacted originally.
